Full Professor

Ing. Agr. and MSc (UBA, Argentina); PhD (1996) from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Since graduation, she has been actively engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as in research in the field of crop ecophysiology. Her early research career was based at UBA and CONICET (Argentina). In 2003, she joined the University of Lleida (Spain) as a “Ramón y Cajal” Research Fellow and subsequently became Full Professor. She has served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Field Crops Research and currently serves as Technical Editor of Crop Science. In addition, she was member of the evaluation committee in the Agriculture area of the Agencia Nacional de Evaluación y Prospectiva, Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad Español (ANEP) and in the Agencia Estatal de Investigación, Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad Español (AEl) and member of the evaluation committee of the Dirección de Evaluación y Acreditación de la Agencia Andaluza del Conocimiento (DEVA-AAC). She was Coordinator of the PhD Programme in Agricultural and food Science and Technology at the University of Lleida and is currently Chair of the Evaluation Committee for Official Doctoral Degrees at AQU (Agency for the Quality of the University System of Catalonia).

  Dr. Santiago Tamagno

Ramon y Cajal Research Fellow

PhD in Agronomy from Kansas State University (USA) in 2019 and postdoctoral research at the University of California, Davis (USA). Since 2023, he has been a Ramón y Cajal Researcher at the University of Lleida. His current research focuses on physiological traits related to spike fertility and their interactions with the environment, including heat stress tolerance, soil fertility, and developmental factors, within the broader context of genetic improvement and increasing the yield potential of wheat. He currently serves as an Associate Editor of Crop Science.
